1. Greenville is home to one of the country’s top art shows: Artisphere!
The 17th annual festival will take place in Downtown Greenville from May 7-9, 2021. Artisphere has been named the Best Overall Arts Fair by ArtFairCalendar.com and #3 in USA Today’s 10BEST Reader’s Choice Contest for Best Art Festival in 2015. 2. Greenville has more than 250 international firms from 26 different countries and has the most foreign investment per capita in the United States.
However, we weren’t always such a corporate destination. That trend really began when French tire manufacturer Michelin chose Greenville as its North American headquarters in 1986, and German automaker BMW arrived here in the 1990s. Today, Greenville County is the most populated county in the state of South Carolina and is home to 650+ manufacturers, 40 Fortune 500 companies, and 150 headquarters.
3. Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport was recognized as a best small airport in North America.
Airports Council International recognized GSP airport in the 2020 Airport Service Quality awards as the best airport in North America serving 2-5 million passengers annually. The rankings are based on passenger satisfaction across 34 key performance indicators.
