Around Town: Euphoria
Euphoria 2015 starts Thursday! You can look forward to exclusive tasting events, cooking demonstrations and wine seminars, as well as multi-course dinners and live musical performances. It’s also the festival’s 10-year anniversary!
Euphoria is a weekend-long food, wine and music festival that highlights the culinary and arts communities in Upstate South Carolina. It features domestic and international wines, celebrity chefs, master sommeliers, and national recording artists.
Events start on Thursday evening and continue all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Euphoria’s co-founder, Edwin McCain, will be returning this year in honor of the festival’s 10th anniversary to perform on Thursday evening, September 17th, at “Songwriter’s Recipe” and again on Friday evening, September 18th, at “Taste of the South.”
Even if food and music are not your thing, make note of the Sports Series on Friday morning, with golf at The Cliffs and cycling with George Hincapie.
Here’s the official schedule of events:
If your taste buds can’t wait until Thursday, you can test your own culinary skills with the recipes featured on Euphoria’s website here.
All net proceeds from Euphoria are distributed by Local Boys do Good, a 501(c)(3) created to benefit local non-profit organizations, through direct grants to other charities, most of which are in Upstate South Carolina. The benefiting charities focus on providing sustenance to those in need (food, hunger, and health), educating (through music, performing arts, or otherwise), or supporting children.
