Community Profile: Five Forks, SC
It’s no secret that Upstate South Carolina is growing. The Five Forks community is one that’s responsible for a significant amount of that growth—in part due to the many housing developments that have been established here in the past few years.
I’m David Painter, a top realtor agent with Keller Williams Real Estate. In this blog post I share more about this up-and-coming area.
Five Forks is located just 12 miles from downtown Greenville. Its population was 14,140 people as of the 2010 census, but it has been growing rapidly. There are several available options for housing in Five Forks—from single-family homes, town homes and condos to new construction homes, starter homes, and luxury homes.
Several public schools serve the Five Forks area. Residents are under Greenville 01 school district, which has a GreatSchools rating of 7. See a full list of schools in Five Forks here. Residents will also enjoy using the Five Forks Sports Club and easy access to retail shops, restaurants, office buildings, shops, and super-centers on Woodruff Road.
Though Five Forks itself is relatively small (covering just 7.7 square miles), one of its benefits is its proximity to Downtown Greenville and the larger city of Simpsonville, the later of which is located just 6 miles away. Therefore, Five Forks residents can easily enjoy all that Upstate South Carolina has to offer, from its festivals, to its vibrant arts and entertainment scene, to the variety of recreational activities it offers.
