I have a confession to make… I’ve lived in Greenville, South Carolina, for over 50 years—and this is my 27th year in real estate—but I only recently discovered First Fridays. But to be fair, it’s not really my fault! There’s simply so many new things going on in the Upstate that I can’t keep up! Find out more about First Fridays in this week’s post…
First Fridays is an an opportunity from the Metropolitan Arts Council to navigate Greenville’s visual arts scene. True to its name, it takes place in the evening of the first Friday of every month. Galleries and venues are open to the public from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
To plan your evening, view maps of the main areas where the galleries are located. You can also find a directory of the galleries with contact information and directions here.
The mission of First Fridays is to promote visual art awareness and provide a venue for showcasing emerging and established artists who add greatly to Greenville’s cultural community.
And trust me… there’s a lot of art in Greenville to showcase! Here are just a few of the galleries you can check out during an upcoming First Fridays event:
One of my favorite things about living in the Upstate is being able to check out all the events the city has to offer, like First Fridays. I hope you’ll get out and enjoy them too!
