Greenville Named #6 Small City
Greenville, South Carolina, was listed as the #6 best small city in the United States by CN Travelers’ 33rd annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey. Find out what they said.
According to readers of CN Traveler, of all the small cities in the United States (classified as populations under 250,000), Greenville is one of the best! Here’s what the article said about why Greenville, South Carolina made the #6 spot:
“Want to get in on a secret? Plan a trip to Greenville now and you might see it just on the cusp of stardom. The food lover’s town has a farm-to-table scene that continues to rise in the ranks (try Jianna for Italian and freshly shucked oysters, and Vault & Vator, the city’s first speakeasy, for a strong, well-crafted cocktail)—not to mention its rapid rise as a destination for craft beer-lovers. With a dynamic mix of urban center paired with abundant natural resources, walk off your food coma in 32-acre Falls Park, which runs through the middle of town, or along the Swamp Rabbit bike trail—now at a whopping 22 miles and counting.”
Charleston also made the list in the #1 spot, which meant South Carolina was one of two states with two small cities in the top ten (California was the other).
And yet, Greenville’s accolades don’t stop with being a best small town. We’re known for a lot more too. Check out some other awards and recognition our city has received recently.
