Home Updates for Summer

Many of us have spent more time than usual at home over the past year or so. It’s understandable if you’re well and truly bored of your home décor! Fortunately, summer is nearly here—and it’s the perfect time to make some easy, inexpensive home updates. Here are a few ideas.

Bring the Outdoors Inside

Adding flowers and fresh greenery around your home is one of the easiest ways to freshen it up for spring. Because a lot of families travel over the summer, succulents are a great, low-maintenance option for indoor plants. They only need a little water every few weeks or month to thrive. And if you really don’t have any green in your thumb, there are plenty of lifelike artificial plant options out there.

Paint

I’m not necessary talking about walls! Paint is also a great, inexpensive way to brighten up faded outdoor wooden furniture, dingy concrete, old plant pots and more! Instead of throwing them away, experiment with paint in bright colors to add new life to your outdoor living spaces.

Update Linens & Scents

If you’ve got a little money to spend (it doesn’t have to be a lot!), consider investing in some new rugs, towels and pillows in summery prints. Few things can brighten up a living space like fresh linens. Open some windows and add an essential oil diffuser in a clean-smelling scent for even more of a transformation.
