New for the New Year!
Happy New Year! I’m happy to bring you this first post of 2019. For a new year, I thought I’d share some of the new and noteworthy things happening in and around Greenville, courtesy of the team at www.visitgreenvillesc.com …
Luna Rosa: I was never very good at resisting the temptation of Luna Rosa’s incredible gelato when I was on or around the Washington Street location, which closed late last year. Fortunately, their Main Street location is set to open soon, in the space formerly occupied by Bellacino’s.
Speakeasy: Main Street in Downtown Greenville will soon be home to a new speakeasy concept in the former Oakblue location at 109 N. Main Street. The bar and restaurant is set to be open Wednesday through Saturday between 4pm and 2am and offer a menu of appetizers, salads, and pub food.
Think Tank Brew Lab: This new large brewery is set to open at 101 Airport Road in 2019 with a large outdoor/indoor biergarten and event venue. Stay tuned for grand opening details at www.thinktankbrewlab.com.
Gather GVL: No opening date has been set for this local “food court” concept which will be located at 126 Augusta Street, but the rumor is it will be a gathering spot where customers can enjoy many different types of local food and craft beverages – burgers, chicken, donuts, ice cream, cheesesteaks, pizza, and much more.
Swanson’s Warehouse: Events that were once held in the basement of a North Main house are now being hosted in this new music venue at 12 N. Irvine Street. Entry is strictly for members only, with events raising money for local charities. Find out more at www.swansonswarehouse.com.
I can’t wait to try some of these new, exciting dining and entertainment opportunities our city has to offer – and I hope to see you also out and about enjoying life in Greenville, South Carolina!
