Spirited: Prohibition in America
Visit the Upcountry History through March 16 to be transported back to the time of flappers and suffragists, bootleggers and temperance lobbyists, and real-life legends, such as Al Capone and Carry Nation. The exhibition explores the history of Prohibition; the enactment of the 18th Amendment prohibiting the manufacture, sale or transport of intoxicating beverages; and the unprecedented repeal of a constitutional amendment in 1933.
Superheroes and Superstars
The Upcountry History Museum will also explore the world of superheroes and superstars from February 10 through June 3. The exhibit includes over 100 pieces of original artwork; including paintings, sketches, and models created by Alex Ross, one of the greatest artists in the field of comic books.
